It is okay to have a cheat day once in awhile, but do not go overboard. For instance, a slice of pizza is okay, but do not eat the whole thing. Practice portion control to stop weight gain and bad habits.

Dark chocolate has flavonoids that can lower a person’s blood pressure. Dark chocolate can improve cholesterol level if you eat it over time. Just be sure your chocolate that contains at least 70 percent cocoa in order to get the benefits. Don’t go overboard; chocolate is still contains a lot of calories.

Do not fret if you make a mistake. Do not continue this trend though. Let it go as a cheat day and start fresh the next morning. Getting down on yourself is not helpful at all.

A healthy diet good for the heart should include items that are limited in fat but have lots of protein. Poultry like turkey and chicken can fit this quota, make sure you remove the skin. Poultry should be baked, boiled, roasted or broiled, but shouldn’t be fried.White meat is usually a healthier food option than dark meat.
